Why?
For the past four years, the refugee crisis has proven time and again how resilient and amazing the Lebanese people are. Watching Europe buckle under the weight of a few hundred thousand, while little old Lebanon hosts well over 1.5 million, is amazing. And each and every year, you answered the call and donated what you could to help.
However, things in Lebanon are far from ok. 3.3 million people are in need in Lebanon this winter. It's time to forget nationalities and papers and focus on people in need all over Lebanon, whether Lebanese, refugee or otherwise.
When?
It is unacceptable that anyone die from cold or hunger in Lebanon anymore. Please, follow and like DAFA Campaign, and prepare for THIS SUNDAY!
What?
- Clothes, especially warm ones and shoes
- Canned or dry foods
- Books, because everyone should enjoy a book before bed
- Electronics, whether it's old smartphones, tablets or toys, after all, Internet is a basic human right these days and access to it helps lift communities in so many ways
- Anything you feel someone might need and you don't need as much
